Mallory’s cousin, Garrett, has recently went from calling her “baby” to calling her “Ree” or even sometimes “ReeRee”. I love it! They play so well together too, except when Ree wants to sit on his mommy’s lap. That’s not allowed!
Ree is very curious right now. She points at everything and wants to know what it is. If you don’t acknowledge what she is pointing at she will continue to point and grunt. When you finally tell her what it is, she will think about it and then try to say it herself… or… point again and grunt.
Ree is starting to stand by herself, but only for about a minute and then she falls. She doesn’t stand up by herself, but once up she will let go and stand for a moment.
Personality! This girl has such a personality and it makes me giggle every day. When she is frustrated she waves her arms and slumps.
She is working on so many teeth right now and it is causing a pretty clingy fussy baby girl.
Talking. She is trying so hard to talk. Sometimes she will rattle away at me and all I can do is say, oh really. : )
Coloring! : ) She is starting to color with sidewalk chalk and crayons. This is very exciting for me! Craft days are so close!!
She is taking more interest in using a spoon when eating. I load the spoon and she puts it in her mouth, flipping the spoon upside once it is in her mouth.
She is also taking interest in cups and drinking from them like a big girl.
Lawnmower! Jesse took her with him when he mowed the lawn one day and ever since he has had a partner to mow the lawn with. Last Saturday he went to mow the lawn and I took her in the house to cool down and get ready for a nap. She heard that lawn mower and crawled over to the baby gate and yelled “dada dada” and pointed out the front door where she could see him on the lawnmower. I asked her if she wanted to go ride the lawnmower with dada and she fell to her butt and put her arms up for me to pick her up and take her.
