We are done with school!!!! FOREVER!!!!! Their last day of class was last night!! I am so excited for all of the 4th years!! They now will know what it feels like to not do homework at night!!! It is the best feeling in the world to come home at night and do what YOU want to do... not what your professors want you to do!!!!
The guys in the program celebrated by going camping for a few days up on Trask Mountain. I am sure they are up to no good. But, I hope they are having fun and enjoying their new found free time.
Jesse also had a huge milestone earlier this week (Wednesday). He presented his dissertation. HE PASSED!!!!! He does have a few minor changes to make to it, but the big thing is he passed! I was able to go and watch him present and it was the coolest thing to see. I was so proud of my guy up there saying all these big words and acting like he knew what he was doing. : ) Okay, he really did know what he was doing!!
Jesse now has a break until September 5th. That's right, it is a bit insane. But don't worry he will be getting honey-do lists until then!!! : )
I better get back to work. I just wanted to share this very exciting news with you all!!! Have a great weekend!! We have a weekend with no homework!! Time for celebrating!!

Spring Banquet
On Saturday, May 14th we had our last George Fox Spring Banquet. Natalie and I were talking that afternoon about our first spring banquet that was then called a formal. We both wore prom dresses and felt so special! Slowly as the years went by this so called formal became more relaxed... so relaxed that at this one we wore pants!! : )
We gathered at a hotel in downtown Portland (can't remember the name). We had a great meal which was followed by a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!! Yummy!
It was a very fun night... but also sad... because this is one of the last times we will all be together.
Here are some pictures from the night. (Sorry they are so blurry, I stole them from Natalie's shutterfly album... Thanks Nat!!)

Jesse's class... the 4th years.

The whole class with spouses.

8 Sugar Mamas and 1 Sugar Daddy!!

Dissertation Progress.
Jesse has turned his dissertation over to his committee. This means that his dissertation is 3/4 of the way done!!! (Way to go Jesse!) This thing is 35 pages long!!
What happens now?
He has what they call a "final defense" on May 25th. This is where he presents and discusses his dissertation to his committee. His committee either passes him or has corrections for him. He makes the final corrections and then submits it to a journal for publishing.
What is his dissertation about?
Good question. I don't really know. (Good wife, huh?) I am going to take a wild guess and say that it has to do with motivational interviewing and pain management. His final defense is open to the public- we could all go and watch him!! ; )
Completion of this dissertation is another mile stone to add to the books. I think he might actually be finishing up his schooling! He has only been in school since he was five... that is only 21 years of school!! Yikes - lets not tell him he has been in school that long!

Locks of Love
I finally decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love uses real hair to make wigs for children who cannot grow hair.
Saturday was the big day!! I wasn't nervous - until the morning of. I know it is just hair and that it will grow back... but I am a girl and I worry about these things. Everything turned out great and I am starting to really like it! I have attached a before and after...
