I’ve got nothing!

I just upload my pictures from my camera and I have nothing!  All the pictures are blurry and gross and the wrong color!  I’m so not a photoshop person… mostly I just don’t have the patience to upload each picture into photoshop and then putz around and try to correct them.  Maybe in my next life I’ll have patience/time for that.  LOL!

So we have just been doing the at home thing.  Nothing too exciting has been going on these few weeks.  The kids play play play play!  They are very much into pretend right now.  Mally is constantly a cat!  She drapes her blanket over her and that is her fur and she crawls around here meowing and rubbing on my leg and asking for treats.  Max… oh what does he do?  He crawls around meowing trying to keep up with her!  They apparently do not know that I don’t like cats.

Mally has been wanting to learn to write letters on paper.  So we have been working on that with her.  She writes VERY BIG!  : )  It is pretty precious!  I love her little writing!

I’ve been working with Max on his shapes.  He knows oval and few others.  Colors… he think everything is pink.  : )

Since I have been gone I have turned into a total meal planning geek!  Like total!

See I told you!  File folders for each month with the recipes inside!  Geek!  But I love it!

I’ll make a better effort at some pictures this coming week.  Good quality pictures where you can see more then just streaks of blur!

What Chaos?

I tell you a lot of the feel good, warm & fuzzy stories that go on here.  But there are days that are just complete… chaos… yeah chaos!  I think that is a good word for it.

Here is one of the days and this happened a week ago.  During the moment I did not find it funny at all – but now I do.

Last Friday Jesse was off from one of his jobs so he was here working our business.  It was inventory day for the business.  So we had all our employees here counting their little hearts out.  I went to the grocery store because we were throwing a new years eve party and it was my only day to get groceries.  I think I would of rather stayed home and counted inventory!

I ran into Target quick and that was good.  They have those dual semi huge carts that everyone looks at you and moves out of your way because you have a massive cart with kids climbing all over the place.  Well my kids do a fairly decent job of sitting in them.  I said fairly… Max attempts to get out but I buckle him so he usually ends up stuck and screaming for help.

Then we went to the grocery store and I specifically picked this grocery store because they have two seats with steering wheels!  The kids freak because I tell them to drive me to the cereal… or drive me to the bread… and it distracts them for awhile.  I also brought them a snack to eat and a drink.  Which got be threw the produce section.  Then they “drove” me around for awhile.  Then they were getting feisty (it was a huge shopping trip) so then we started playing I spy and had them look for shapes and letters.  We made it!  We made it out with NO melt downs from them!  Or me!  : )

I’m driving home (45 minute drive) and they fell asleep!!!  Ugh!  I was trying so blasted hard to keep them awake!  Max is gone!  Mally announces “Wake me up when we get home!”  NOOOO!!  You stay awake girl!  I want them to sleep at home so I can get some stuff done!!  Gone!  Out!  They are both out cold!  Fail!

I get home take them out to the shop to see how inventory is going and let them burn off all their energy since they have been trapped in carseats or shopping carts for the last 4 hours.

Bring them in to settle down and attempt naps.  I did our whole nap routine.  Put them in bed.  They lay in there and giggle and play for like 30 minutes.  Then Jesse came in and they heard him and they wanted him!  Nap time over!

We were taking our sales guy out for his Christmas Supper that night so I need to take a shower and get ready.  So I set the kids up with a little entertainment and I went to get ready.  I get out of the shower and I am coming upstairs and Max is coming downstairs – we meet in the middle.  He holds his hands up at me and says “Icky” and he is kind of opening and closing them like they are sticky… What did you do Max?  Then he says “poop”.  OMG!!!  MAXWELL!!!  THAT BETTER NOT BE POOP ON YOUR HANDS!!!

*everyone take a deep breath*

YES!!!  POOP ON HIS HANDS!!

See my kids get “sweaty” and take their shirts off.  Well Max took his shirt of while I was in the bathroom.  When his shirt is off he sticks his hands down the back of his pants.  It is almost like an unconscious thing he does.  Well this time he did – he had pooped!!!!

I was trying so hard not to throw up on him as I cleaned him up!  The most disgusting thing ever!

Then I am thinking… so if you had poop on your hands… WHAT DID YOU TOUCH!?!  So I tried to retrace what I think he did/move and sanitized my house!  and my kid!

After that issue is done I discovered an empty popcorn container in the chair.  I grab it and say, Mallory did you eat this popcorn without asking momma first?  She says, no.  Then I say, Well then who ate it?  She gives me this little grin, puts her finger by her mouth  like she is thinking and she cheerfully says “um… maybe daddy?!”

I so thought she was lying to me!  She has been on a lying streak!  A bad lying streak!  And the way she said it had me convinced she was lying.

Now it wasn’t an issue of her eating the popcorn.  The issue was she was lying to me.

So we chatted about this lying and she kept being silly and it totally felt like she was lying to me.  So I take her to a time out.  Well she didn’t like that at all.  When her time out is over, I go by her and I say, Are you ready to tell me the truth now?  She says yes.  Who ate the popcorn?  She sits in silence a bit and then says… daddy.  Again!  So I walk away and I say, let me know when you are ready to tell me the truth and I’ll come back and listen.  Well she really didn’t like that!  Then she had to go to the bathroom.  She is sitting on the toilet and I’m curling my hair (still trying to get ready for our supper) and her and I are talking.  I start asking her different questions.  And she says “Fine!  I ate the popcorn!”  So I say, when did you eat it?  When I was in the shower?  She says… no, maybe another night.

Now I am totally blown away!  I have to get to the bottom of this for real now!  So I say… where do I keep the popcorn?  She says, um maybe in the fridge?  (What?  The fridge?")  Where did you find the popcorn… she says… beside daddy’s chair!

ding ding ding!  OMG!  She really didn’t eat the blasted popcorn!!!  Her daddy really did!!!  And he left this empty container by his chair and she found it and just put it on his chair!!!

I have been accusing her of eating this blasted popcorn and she really didn’t do it!!!  I felt so incredibly stupid!!

I would not have cared if she ate – it was the fact that I thought she was lying to me and I’ve been trying to correct her lying habits.

But she wasn’t lying this time!  It was just the way she was saying it like she was tricking me and trying to get away with it!

Oh that little stinker!!  What really cracks me up is she says, fine I ate it!

I did eventually get my hair curled a splash of make up just in the knick of time to get them a quick supper before I had to go pick up the babysitter!

We go out for supper and I indulged in a lemon drop!  (and maybe a few more – hey, it was a rough day!)  Get home and our babysitter says she just put Mallory to bed and she is looking down the hall and she says, she is peeking out her door right now.  Mallory comes running out at us and she totally gets the sillies and starts acting up!  It is like 10:30pm.  I go take Vanessa home and Mallory announces “I’m not tired anymore momma!”  I come home in a flash and Mallory is still wide awake, caught a second wind, and is ready to party it up!  I calmed her down by reading about 3 books and she went to bed just fine!

And then I went to bed!

Day over!

Happy New Year!

IMG_4157

I was sucked into the New Years decorations at Target the other day.

IMG_4162

I couldn’t resist them!

IMG_4164

The three kids were climbing the walls just waiting until I would let them go out to the garage for the party.  I was done with everything about an hour & half early and finally caved and let them go out there.  They found the horns and had to play with them right away.

IMG_4165

Along with the balloons.  We apparently have lots of pointy things out in the shop, because they were popping left & right.

IMG_4172

Now wasn’t it totally worth buying them just to have these pictures?

IMG_4173

I’m just going to go ahead and say it… I’m ready for her hair to grow back in!!  I have no idea how to style it anymore!

IMG_4175

The girls horns make noise & Max is trying to figure out what they are doing that he isn’t.  His doesn’t make noise & isn’t suppose to.

IMG_4177

1… 2… 3… GO!

IMG_4178

Then Ellyn decided that they should hide and pop up and blow their horns & yell “Happy New Year” when every guest arrives.

IMG_4181

She really wanted to get her snow gear on and wait out in the drive way!  I wouldn’t let her.

Mallory hiding under the table.

IMG_4183

Their first victim… I mean guest… was Uncle Jerry & Auntie Steffie and they popped up at them and they laughed.  I don’t know how many more guests they did that too.  But the more kids that came the more horns that were going the more noise!  It was fun and the kids totally loved it!

I also couldn’t resist the clearance Christmas glasses with a fun little stir stick!

Maxwell realized he had both Grandpas in one place!  I wasn’t there when he first discovered it, but I came upon it and grabbed my camera.  We would say, Maxwell where is Grandpa?  He would pat one on the shoulder and say “Right der!!”

IMG_4192

Maxwell where is another Grandpa?  “Right der” and pat the other Grandpa on the shoulder!

IMG_4193

The Grandpas were loving it!  So was Max!

IMG_4194

One of the little guys brought his guitar… so then Mallory had to have her guitar and they had a mini jam session.

IMG_4196

This is the difference between Mallory & Maxwell.  Mallory is very shy sometimes.  Not Maxwell.  He is very social.  When it was time for him to go to bed he has to wave and say bye to everyone.  Needs everyone to look at him and acknowledge that he is leaving the building.

IMG_4199

Bye!

IMG_4202

Mallory?  When she went to bed she lays her head on my shoulder and peeks at everyone as they say good night to her.  Then I get her in the house and get her ready for bed and she gets the silly giggles!

It was a really fun party and I think everyone enjoyed themselves!  Now we are ready for 2013 to see what it all brings for us!  Wishing you all many blessings this year!!
