Early this summer the exhaust on our truck was starting to do something… fall off… I don’t know the technically terms. I do know that our truck was getting loud!
The truck is my vehicle, the one I drive the most. At first I felt all tough! You know girl driving her guy’s big loud truck – I like that. But then it started to get so loud that you couldn’t have the windows rolled down and hold a conversation with anyone in the vehicle. So loud that I think Jesse knew when I turned on our street and could hear us coming. I wasn’t okay with that loud.
Jesse took it to his Dad’s shop and they welded and fixed it up for me. With the side note of… we will have to get it professionally fixed one day.
A few months went by and I never gave it another thought. I’m running from the library to the store and I pull out of the store parking lot and head for home to hear a loud crash and something is dragging behind me. I pull over going… did the tailgate fall off? What the heck is dragging behind me!? I can’t see anything when I walk around to the back of the truck. Then I squat down and look under the truck. The exhaust is laying on the ground – still attached to the truck, but laying on the ground. I giggle a bit and throw my hands in the air and say (out loud) “Now what?!” I head back to the truck to call Jesse because he happened to take the day off that day to work on the house so he was home and could help me or tell me what to do. As I am walking back to the driver’s side to get my cell phone and call Jesse I hear “You need some help?” I turn around and there is a guy running across the street towards us. He is running from a gas station dressed in an mechanic’s uniform. Yippee!
He says – I heard you turn the corner and heard it fall off.
Embarrassing!
He crawls under the truck – pulls off the exhaust – throws it in the back of my truck and tells me to go to take it to the guy up the street. I said thank you – and I will tell my husband!
Drove that loud beast right home and turned it over to Jesse.
Here is Jesse and Max working on it after it was all fixed up.

Max is turning into the coolest kid. Not that he wasn’t cool before – but right now his personality is just something else. And this picture just sums it up. Totally Maxwell!

So then I took pictures of the rest of the kids. Mally was driving around in her little RZR.

Ellyn was chilling.

Mallory is so… rugged. Yet, she talks about being a princess and wearing dresses and “heel-highs”.

Legs of summer.

She has my knees. I constantly had a scrape or scab on my knees. I still to this day always have a bruise of some sort on my knees. I even have scars from when I was kid. She will have the same!
Jesse is very random sometimes. This day – he pushed the snowmobile out and started it. Max must of thought it was very strange as well as he stood here and watched him.

Jesse also drug out the generator and started it to. Our neighbors just have to love us! All the noise and chaos we bring to the neighborhood!
I love this guy though. I love this guy more then I ever thought possible! Can’t get enough of him and his shenanigans.
