Mixing Colors

My kids are really into playdough right now.  And usually I just give them each one color and let them go to town.  Well one afternoon during Max’s nap Mallory wanted to play with the new playdough tools I got for her (on clearance for 5$ – score!).  Before I know it we have all the colors open and she is mixing them all up!  My organized little brain can’t handle that!!

When she was all done with it – there I was trying to separate all the colors back to their original colors before we put them away!

The Band Frey

The other morning I was downstairs getting ready for work and I can hear the kids out in the playroom just a playing.  The piano is going… there is signing… they are having a blast.  I sneak out to look at what they are doing and I see Max standing at the piano bobbing his head to the beat and banging away.  Mallory is dancing up a storm.  I loved it!  I ran upstairs and grabbed the camera for a video.  Pictures just wouldn’t do this one justice.

*Warnings*

~ It is loud.  My kids only know how to listen to music at maximum volume.  Mallory also can’t dance unless it is as maximum volume. 

~ It is out of focus.  I can not figure out my video mode on my camera.

Then after I stopped recording Max kept hitting the key that said “yo” and he then he would say “yo”.  Then he would hit the key that said “dj” and then he would say “dj” and bob his head to the beat.  So funny!

Looks like I have two kids who love music!  Did not get it from their parents.  : ) 

Official Cubby!

Each week of Awanas Mallory has to memorize Bible verses.  If she remembered them all – after the second week she would get her vest!

It was two verses a week!  Mallory’s memory is crazy!  She has an awesome memory!  However the second week I could not get her to remember her verses.  Wednesday rolled around and she still didn’t have it so I ask Mrs. Carolyn (who has taught preschool/kindergarten) if she had any tricks for Mallory to teach her quick!  : ) 

I came in two hours later for lunch and Mallory had it memorized!!  Apparently Katherine wouldn’t dance with her until she had it memorized.  :)

When I picked her up from Awanas that night she had her little cubby vest on!  She did it!!

She was pretty excited about getting her vest!  She tells me after I pick her up that she really likes Awanas and wants to go again.  : ) 

Now I believe she will get patches to put on her vest for more verses that she has to memorize.
