No biting!

I'm sitting with Mallory and she is reaching for something she can't have. I grab her little hand and remove it and say "no". We do this over and over. A couple times she lets out a scream. Sometimes she yells "ba-ba-ba-ba" at me. Then one time... as I have her little hand in mine she uses her other hand grabs my hand and shoves my hand in her mouth and gives me a chomp!!

I'm going to go with... she didn't know what she was doing. She just chewed on me like she would if she had a toy. Okay? My baby doesn't know how to bite already when she is not getting her way!? Right?

Alright... she is now trying to rip off her shirt... gotta run!
I'm in for trouble with this little girl... and she gets it all from Jesse... in case you were wondering who is the original trouble maker!!

Busy busy busy bees!

Wow! February was a wild month. So many things to share with you and not enough time to do it in. I'll start out with a few snapshots of the month and hopefully later on I will have time to come back and share more. I thought having reduced work hours would give me more time, but I was dead wrong. I am more busy now than I was before working 30+ hours a week!!

FreyMoto went to Indianapolis to attend a trade show. It was a huge success and sold us out of product in about 2 weeks!! This here, is why I am so busy!! I took a month off from FreyMoto when I had Mallory and it was the biggest month we had last year and so it put me so far behind! And when you have your non-accountant husband running things for a month... lets just say he tried to do a good job and be organized for me! : ) Anyway I just finished up 2009 this week!!!

While in Indiana we got to see and stay with our BFFs!! The last picture of the three of us... two of us were pregnant and now we all had our baby girls in our arms! This time when we decided to go somewhere... we had to take multiple vehicles! We all can't fit in one car anymore!! Brandon, if you still had the Olds though... I bet we could fit 3 car seats in there!! hehehehee! : )

We also had Mallory's baby dedication this month. I forgot my camera in the truck during church - so I don't have pictures!! But - my mom took pictures for us which I'll get when things slow down a bit.

Here is our sleepy girl after a hard day of celebrating!! She fell asleep before we even got her to bed! I love a snuggly baby and I am super jealous that Jesse is getting these snuggles and not me!

New hat!! Mallory got a new hat and it is just too stinkin cute!! Well, it would be even more cute if she didn't have that lovely nuk in her mouth! : ) Yes, she is addicted!

Before we left for vacation I was leaving the nuk in her crib and she would only get it during naps and at bedtime. But when you are with other people and staying somewhere else all the rules go out the door. And now she is so good at grabbing that sucker and popping it in her mouth! I even tried to leave her blanket in the crib but as I am picking her up she is reaching and grabbing her blanket and taking it with her!

Jesse also had his MRI and meeting with the neuro surgeon this month. Everything came back normal. He is having classic migraines. The bone growths were not a concern at all for him. And one of the 'bone growths' was a floating bone in his neck (near the adams apple) that everyone has. It just showed up on the x-ray kind of funny and made it look like something it was not.

The neuro surgeon did confirm that he has a circulation disorder which causes his hands to turn funny colors - from white, to red, to purple, to normal. (There is a name for it, but I can't remember.) This is also linked with migraines.

For a couple weeks now he has eliminated caffeine which has helped with the frequency of the migraines.

Alright, there is your quick update - I hear Mallory waking up so we must go get this Friday started!!! : )

8 Months!

 

* She is always doing strange things with her tongue.  It is either sticking out, blowing spit, or she is chewing on it.  The only sounds she is making is AAAAhhaaaa.  She did baaabaaabaa for about two days.

* Loves her stories.  We have lots of touch and feel books, which are her favorite.

* She is starting to hold her arms up when she wants you to pick her up.  Also leaning if someone else has her and she wants to come back to you.

* Standing standing standing!  She loves to stand.  With standing comes jumping!  Can’t get enough jumping.

* High chair!  We finally got her a high chair and when you go to put her in it – she stands and won’t sit down.  She stands there and looks at you like, what you are going do about this one?  So I pull on her little feet to slide her down and she holds her body stiff!  She won’t bend into the sitting position!!  Finally she falls on her butt and gets distracted by the toys I have waiting for her on the tray!

* Attitude!  Wow!  I’m starting to realize why we call her Miss Mallory – she fits the roll.  Even the check out lady at the grocery store looks at me and says, that one is going to be trouble.  Yup!  She has the sparkle in her eye that just screams – mischief! 

The other morning Jesse was with her and I was running around the house not paying attention and I hear Jesse telling her no.  Mally is in her high chair with a fist full of the plant next to her.  She looks at Jesse who is telling her no and then looks at me.  I, of course, got the giggles and had to look away while she was in trouble.

* Bigger car seat!  We finally broke down and got her the next car seat.  I was getting so tired of lugging that infant carrier around!  Some of those car seats are freaking Baby Lazy Boy Recliners!!  They have about 15 cup holders, a snack tray, ipod docks, speakers, polka-dots, hot fun colors, etc.  This one was tiny-ish with only one cup holder and black! 

I had to let you see the meltdown too!  She is human!  : )
