Leaves are falling and so is my blogging.

I thought being a full time stay at home mom was going to bring me all this new found freedom and time.  Which it did.  However, I filled it with so many other things.  I joined a weekly ladies bible study.  Jesse and I lead a group once a month.  I took over the nursery director at our church.  There goes all that free time.  However these are good healthy things to do!

Also I did a few senior pictures and so my nights were spent looking at those beautiful senior kids!  No time for my own pictures.

We had some pretty beautiful fall days.  I took the kids outside to jump in the leaves.  I was pretty much the coolest mom ever with this small (totally free) event in the backyard!

Lets play… Where’s Mallory?

IMG_7067-9

She ended up with swollen itchy eyes doing this – so we had to play burry Maggie.  Well.  Maggie didn’t move.  So she liked it too!  Everyone happy!

Then they got hot and wanted a popsicle!

He bites them right away!  Then gets mad when he can’t chew them fast enough and his mouth get cold.

The stains on his shirt… are from a hot chocolate he had that morning.  The rules were they could have one but to be careful and not get it all over their shirt!  Which I knew was impossible with him!  Mally stayed clean – only because she used her blanket as protection!

Hopefully I will get better at juggling my *new* activities better.  Hopefully I will get better at picking up my camera and documenting them again.  Hopefully I will get better at blogging again!

Here is to hopefully!!

Puddle Splashing

IMG_6439-1IMG_6440-2IMG_6441-3

He got this hat (along with three others) from the neighbor.  This one was his favorite.  His tractor hat.

IMG_6444-4IMG_6447-5IMG_6448-6

Caught him falling.

IMG_6457-8

Knocked his gum right out of his mouth.

IMG_6459-10

Hmm.  Yum.  Gravel in my gum is so tasty!

IMG_6460-11

He dropped his gum about three more times and every time he put it back in his mouth.  Delish!

IMG_6462-12

I’m not a germ person… so it didn’t bother me.  Did I think it was gross?  Of course!

IMG_6465-13

Then he sat down in the puddles!

IMG_6497-15

And rolled around

IMG_6498-16

He was soaked.  I had to peel his clothes off of him.

IMG_6507-17

And bribe him to come in for lunch.  He would of splashed and jumped in puddles all day.

Wiggles

One night we are outside and for some reason the kids were already in their pajamas (I can’t remember why) and Mallory started running and chasing moths and catching them.  She caught a white paper thin one and begged to keep it!  I thought it was really cute and said okay and got a jar and then I begged Jesse to pound holes in the lid for her.  He goes out to the garage to pound holes and comes back with a huge massive moth!  Which was just fantastic in Mallory’s eyes.

Here she is with her moth the first night.

The next day she ran and got her moth and she picked up the jar and it wiggled its head back and forth at her.  She thought it was fantastic!  She showed me and it did it again.  So she called him Wiggles.

She took Wiggles everywhere with her.  Outside he came with us to play.

They picked fresh grass and dropped it down the holes.  They even dripped water down the holes for Wiggles.

Pretty soon wiggles jar started to steam up and I had to have her take him back inside.  Wiggles wasn’t a fan of the sun.

Such a pretty girl she is!

Day 3… Max babysat wiggles while she was at school.

Mallory came home from school and immediately went to check on Wiggles.  Wiggles wasn’t looking so good.  He hadn’t moved in a long time.

The deal was when we let her keep Wiggles was that she had to let Wiggles go on Thursday night because we were going camping on Friday and who was going to take care of Wiggles while she was camping.  (There was no offer of bringing Wiggles with us in the camper.)

She did have tears when she had to let him go – but she did it!!  Such a brave big girl!

I thought for sure that she would chase down another moth and want to keep it, but she hasn’t… yet!
