When Jesse and I first got married it was the big joke with Jesse's Dad that Jesse would be eating spaghetti out of a box and macaroni & cheese every night. Boy did I prove his Dad wrong. Okay, maybe it took about a year to prove him wrong... but I did. : )
Eventually I started to enjoy cooking and then it turned into trying new recipes every week. Now we have the Food Network channel and I am addicted! I use to make everything Rachael Ray... but now that I have the Food Channel I have found new people that I enjoy just as much. So I'll try not to bombard with you a bunch of Rachael Ray... but I will tell you that her meals are fast, easy, and good!
I thought it would be fun to share some of these recipes with you that I find. Plus right now I have far too much time on my hands so it will be good to get these recipes out there and organized and then some day when I don't have this much time I can just pop on here and make my menu and shopping list.
Here's the blog: http://lmf-recipes.blogspot.com/
Hope you enjoy it as much I will enjoy sharing them.

Prom & 4-Wheelers
We went back to our parents this weekend because my little brother was going to prom and I wanted to see him (and his date) all dressed up. I had an entire audience when I went to prom so I thought it was only fair that Adam have an audience too. Too cute!!

On Sunday we were over at the Freys because Jesse's Dad was going to boil maple syrup with his friend from work. His friend has a little boy, and they brought his 4-wheeler for him to ride around while they boiled the syrup. It was so fun watching this little boy ride his wheeler. He went straight for the mud puddles. By the time he was done his back was full of mud.

The Pencil Test
Have you ever heard of this test before? You take a sharped pencil, stick a needle in the eraser and thread it with thread. You dangle the pencil (by the thread) over the inside of your wrist... and it will tell you how many children you will have and what their gender will be!! Pretty fun, eh?!!
If the pencil swings back & forth (wrist to elbow) it will be a girl. Swinging side to side means a boy.
So our future holds... A little Lynn and a little Jesse!
PS... no there are not little ones in our very near future! Just a little trick for you all to try out the next time you get bored. : )
If the pencil swings back & forth (wrist to elbow) it will be a girl. Swinging side to side means a boy.
So, you hold the pencil (by the thread) with a steady hand over your wrist. The pencil will start to circle and then it will give you a child... it will do this until you have all your children and then it will stop. It will also circle in between child.
We were at a friends house last night and they did this little test on both Jesse and I. I went first and I was told I was going to have 1 girl and 1 boy!!! Jesse did it... 1 girl and 1 boy!!! I was a little nervous that we wouldn't match... but we did!
