Sunday we went down to the realtor to see more houses. We didn't even have a list of houses that we were seeing because I wasn't looking for any. By the time we found out she rejected us it was too late for me search the Internet. I left it up to the realtor this time.
We get to her office, we sit down, she hands us a list of houses that fit into our criteria and there were about 7 houses in Stanley and about 6 houses in Thorp. We didn't like any of them!! For a variety of reasons... 1 car garage, no pictures of the inside, too small, too icky. At this time in our search we are being extremely picky because we thought we already found 'our' house. And we were comparing all these houses to 'our' house.
We didn't even want to go look at any of the houses in person. We just sat in her office with a pouty look on our face! *kidding* We asked her if we could go visit the old lady and sit down and have coffee with her and chat. A nice chat! We just wanted to chat with her and see what in heck she was thinking rejecting our offer!! : ) Our realtor said she couldn't stop us! Funny!
Anyway... we are feeling kind of pressed with time... and we don't like anything... we can't get our mind of this house... we want this house!! So, we decided... FINE! Just give her want she wants! Seriously! But, lets make her wait until Tuesday (tomorrow) before we do this.
I had asked our realtor for the signed copy of the rejection... and she didn't have it!!! Odd. She finally broke it to us that the seller's realtor never had her sign the rejection. He wanted her to think/mull it over, over the weekend. We were kind of shocked by this. And we almost made our realtor pinkie swear to us that she would not tell the sellers realtor anything about us putting in an offer on Tuesday and giving her what she wanted. Our realtor said she wouldn't say a word, she would just try to get a copy of the rejection for us.
We left the realtor's office, ate lunch, and drove around looking for private sellers. Went home disappointed.
Well....
This afternoon I got a call from our realtor!!!!! Katie, she took the stick out of her butt!!!! Were you praying for that?!! LOL.
The seller finally accepted our offer and will pay our closing costs!!!!! Whooohooo! I am so excited! We actually have the house! We signed the acceptance and sent it over already! We got it!!!
We can not believe it! We never thought she would do that!!
Now, we don't move until the 30th of August. I don't even care when we move in... we just got the house!
Now.... are you ready for some pictures! You have to promise me that you can put on your hidden potential hat and imagine what this house will look like after we get our special touches on it!!

The front. Facing the street. What we have imagined here is...
Landscaping, landscaping, landscaping!
In a few years re-siding it and possible adding brick to the front.
Adding something to give that front door some sass and stand out more.

The back yard/back of the house.
Extend that deck to end of the house. Remove that door - because it is in the kitchen and is kind of in a strange place. There is a window behind that red tree that you can't see - make that a patio door and enter the deck from there instead.
Landscaping, landscaping, and more landscaping.
Oh and adding a fire pit!! Gotta have one in Wisconsin!

Kitchen. Ugh!
This was definitely not a selling point for me... who loves to be in her kitchen.
It took some serious talking and help for me to invision a functional kitchen. But I have it now and can't wait to get it started. There is a wall behind the fridge that separates the kitchen from the living room... get rid of that wall and add in an island. Put the fridge on the right side... which will give us loads more room. This will be our biggest under taking... but we can't wait!
New flooring, cupboards, counter tops, remove a wall... etc. Complete face lift!

Dining Room. The window in the back is the window that will eventually be a patio door.
New flooring. Wood paneling... history! Paint it, get rid of it, anything...
Living room (upstairs). Can you invision this room minus all the clutter and the 2 TVs stacked on top of each other!?
Upstairs has the living room, kitchen, dinning room, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Downstairs has another huge living room (which we can section off and put my office in), a bedroom, a bathroom, 2 huge closets (one of the closets we want to get rid of and make the bathroom bigger), and mud room (which we will make Jesse's office/ washer & dryer area). When you enter the house from the garage you enter in this mud room.
I think that is everything. Pretty exciting! We never thought that she would actually accept the offer!
Now we just do some more waiting until August 30th when we can actually move in!!! Too fun!
