Goofy

So you all know by now that Mallory is a huge fan of Goofy.  She is always asking me to draw Goofy when we play with sidewalk chalk.  We were at my Mom’s a few weekends ago and I finally drew Goofy for her.  I was very proud of him.  : )

Here she is with “my favorite Goofy”.   That was until her Auntie Steph gave her loads more of Goofy stuff.  Steph’s sister was into Goofy when she was younger and she brought home tons of stuff for Mallory for her Goofy birthday party.  Except – Mally has gotten attached to a few of the items.  There is a baby Goofy and a stuffed Goofy that looks just like this plastic one only bigger and not plastic.  : )  Just the other day she spotted the Goofy water bottle and has been carrying that around with her now too.  Oh and the book ‘Where’s Goofy’ which is like the books Where’s Waldo.  Steph opened that book to one of the pages to show Mallory and I kid you not, Mallory spotted Goofy within seconds and yelled with glee “Der he is!!”!

I’m afraid Auntie Steph’s sister may have some competition over her Goofys now.  There is another little Goofy nut who is quickly claiming them as hers.  : )  Two of the Goofys have to sleep with her at night and have to come with us when we leave.  I can’t even tell you how many times we have to look at that Goofy book and find Goofy.

It is kind of good thing she has all these other Goofys to distract her from “my favorite goofy” (pictured in the pictures) because Goofy was left outside one night and the next morning Maggie found him and well… he no longer has a hat on his head.

Goofy never would have been left outside over night like that if it wasn’t for these other ones that she now sleeps with.  I was crushed when I saw him laying on the patio missing a chunk of his head.

Mally didn’t seem too phased by it.  I didn’t have the heart to throw him away – so he was sitting by our kitchen sink and Jesse tossed him in the toy box because he didn’t like him sitting there anymore.  Well Mally found him and said, “uh-oh” and we told her Goofy was broke.  She took him to Jesse and said “fix him” and he said he couldn’t.  She brought him to me and said “fix him” and I said I couldn’t.  Then she goes in the kitchen, in the cupboard and gets a plastic bowl and brings it to us and says “fix him with the bowl.”

Now Auntie Steph’s sister really is going to have a hard time getting Goofy back now that “my favorite goofy” has been broken.  : )

Sunshine!

Mallory has been spending lots of time outside playing.  She loves to play on the slide, her swing, ride bikes, blow bubbles, color with sidewalk chalk, go for walks, water the flowers, splash in water…

We got this sand box for Mallory for her birthday present.

It is suppose to be a toddler bed – but we decided to turn into a sandbox instead.  A neighbor up the road from us stopped us on our walk and told us we needed this toddler bed her daughter was selling.  However, we don’t need another toddler bed.  Then she stopped us again (after her garage sale) because it didn’t sell and she wanted us to look at it.  No pressure, huh?  Well, when I saw it and saw that it was plastic – I thought SAND BOX.  I didn’t want to tell her I wanted to use it as a sand box – thought it might hurt her feelings… but then she said it!  : )  So we left and didn’t say that we would take – well the next day she came to my house to see if I wanted it.  Haha!  This lady really wanted us to have this!!  It wasn’t a garage sale price… but it was worth it, I think.  It looks so cute in our back yard on the only small space of real grass that we have.  : )  Our yard is still dirt from last falls garage project.  We are still waiting for people to come back and finish their jobs and bury cables so that we can plant grass seed.

Wherever we go – Maggie must follow and pant and let her tongue hang out and drip all over the place.  Ick!  I can’t stand panting dogs… but I know they have to because that is how they stay cool.

Max enjoys being outside too as long as it is not too windy.

It was getting close to nap time and I was trying to hold Mally off because we were going to leave and I had her come lay down by me and look up at the trees, the sky and the clouds.  Distracting her from melt down city.

I tried to get all three of us, but my arms aren’t long enough.

Maxwell has already turned into a blanket baby!!  It was hot out this day, yet he needed his blanket to get comfy and fall asleep.  One day I was trying to give him his nuk – he was fussy and restless – he wouldn’t take it.  Then I gave him his blanket and he started searching for his nuk and trying to suck on my hand as I was putting the blanket by him.  He grabbed onto his nuk then after he got his blanket.

Loving the sunshine and summer days here!

Tummy Time

Max is a huge fan of tummy time and I am a sucker for little babies that sleep on their belly’s with their little bums in the air.

Then Mallory finds him and does what big sisters are suppose to do… Make little brother tougher by bothering him while he tries to take a nap.

Most of the time he doesn’t care – he can still sleep.
