Let me soak!

Its snowing. Its cold. I can't get out of my PJs. I just want to crawl into this new tub and soak for a couple of hours!!

They worked on the bathroom again yesterday and placed the tub in and built the deck around it. It made me very giddy to walk down here after work and see a tub in place!

Funny side story: Jesse talks in his sleep. He has been talking a lot the past couple of weeks. Lots of funny stories... I could go on all day and keep you entertained, but I'll just tell you this one...

I wake up and Jesse sits up and looks at the clock. I can't see the clock because I am as blind as a bat! I asked him, what time is it? He says in a very upset tone... 12:30. I said, okay. Then he continue to tells me that he has been trying to put this tub faucet in since 4:30 and now it is 12:30 and he still doesn't have this faucet in!! He was not a happy camper! He did lay down and go back to sleep though!

When he gets home I'll have to ask him if ever got the faucet in. *giggle* I love asking him about his dreams because he looks at me so funny as he tries to remember them himself. Some times in his dreams he thinks that I am Jerry. It cracks me up. He'll be chattering away and then look at me and say something " blah blah blah... Jerry..." I then have to tell him that I am not Jerry... I am Lynn. And that really throws him for a loop some nights!! Then he has to find Jerry... and I have to convince him that I think Jerry is probably at his own house! Some nights he doesn't believe me and he has to go walk around the house until he wakes up and realizes that he is sleeping and Jerry is really not here! And if I am giggling as I am talking to him, trying to tell him he is sleeping... it just makes him more mad and more determined to find him.

Okay, I have to tell one more because I can't stop giggling... Jesse has been having dreams where he is choking on objects. So I usually wake up to him sitting up quickly and hanging his head over the side of bed making gagging - throwing up noises! It freaks me out! I start asking him if he is okay? And start sending him to the bathroom if he is going to be sick... don't get sick in my bed!! Well the other night I wake up and he is standing up with his hand on the door knob ready to go out of the room. I asked him where is going. He can't tell me. I tell him he is sleeping and that he really needs to come back to bed. He just stands there and looks at me. I tell him again... your sleeping get back in bed. Now he is mad at me and says... Lynn this is serious! I have to go!

Me: Where do you HAVE to go?

Jesse: I just do.

Me: What do you need to do?

Jesse: I'll *insert swear word* tell when I get back.

and he walks out the door.

Now I really wonder what is up and wonder if I should go follow him or let him be. I then have to go the bathroom so I decided I'll do that and then if he isn't back in bed I'll go find him. Well Jesse is in the bathroom. I found that very odd. So I wait for him to come out and then I pass him the hallway and he says "hi!" as we pass. I just start giggling and giggling! He went from being upset with me to being all friendly!! Apparently he woke up while he was in the bathroom!!

So as I am crawling back into bed I am still giggling and I can't stop!!! Then Jesse starts giggling because he knows he just did something really stupid, but I don't think he knows how stupid. So I asked him... what were you dreaming about. Here is what he says: He has one of those twisty bread ties wrapped around his tonsils and it is choking him. He needed to get it off and I wasn't letting him go to do it. I of course told him... you didn't sound like you were choking... and I giggle. He said he got into the bathroom and looked in the mirror and opened his mouth to untie the bread tie and that is when he woke up.

Oh my gosh! The kid cracks me up some nights!! And I wonder why I don't get a good nights sleep... I have him talking/walking around, I'm tossing and turning trying to get comfy, I'm waking up to go to the bathroom... and then soon I'll be adding... feeding a baby!!! Good thing I have this new bathtub about hooked up so I can relax in there and giggle about my crazy family!!

Belly Status - 25 Weeks

Roughly 17 weeks until Blueberry arrives!

Here is the belly shot... I'm a little tired tonight and I think you can tell by my eyes. They look a little sleepy! It was a toss and turn and can't get comfy night last night... which is only God's way of preparing me for those nightly feedings, right!?

And just because I think it is fun to see them all lined up in a row...
Ups/Downs:
I can't decided if the following are Ups or Downs... so they are going to be Ups/Downs!
~ An inch a week. I went to the Dr. on Friday and I'm to the stage where they measure my belly now which I thought was all fun and exciting until she tells me... "we measure you now because you should be measuring as many weeks as you are pregnant." So I'm 25 weeks so I would measure 25 inches. Then she tells me "you will now grow an inch a week". I'm still in shock by this! I can't even begin to imagine what I'm going to look like at 41 inches!! So it is an UP because baby girl is growing just like she should be... and it is a DOWN because what will 41 inches look like!!

~ My placenta is in the back. I got my ultrasound results back at this last appointment and they informed me that my placenta is behind the baby instead of in the front like normal. Which is perfectly fine. Except!!! I can feel every little movement that little girl makes! And I mean every movement!! Where if my placenta was in the front a lot her movements would be cushioned and I wouldn't feel them so strongly. This is an UP because I do enjoy her wiggling because then it reassures me everything is still okay. It's a DOWN because she wiggles so much and it is so distracting for me. Today she gave me a good jab in the rib!! It sent my whole body into a convulsion! I sit on one of those big exercise balls as my desk chair and I almost fell off with her lovely right jab to the rib! I even yelled "Ouch!" As I am yelling ouch, convulsing, and trying to balance on an over sized exercise ball... my coworker calls me and he hears all of that going on! I had to explain I was not crazy... just got a wake up call from baby girl... which he laughed!!
Ups:
~ I made my very first purchase for the baby's room!! I bought the bedding so that I could get color ideas for the walls. I love it and the colors are awesome! I can't wait to get started!

~ Jesse is able to feel her wiggling. At night I'll push my belly up against him so he can feel her wiggle (just like I can) while he is trying to fall asleep and he is always amazed at how much she wiggles and how strong she is. Today he was home on his lunch and he could see my belly moving and says "You are going to be so excited to have her out of you, aren't you?"
~ Prenatal Massages! We have a really cute hair place (which I need to visit after looking at all my pictures lined up in a row - the hair needs some TLC... Tender Loving Color!) here in Stanley and they have a massage therapist that does prenatal massages. I made an appointment last Saturday and it was awesome! They have this big pillow type bed that is missing the middle... so I get to lay on my belly!! Although she told me I didn't do a very good job of filling out that middle and I was kind of sunk into far and needed to propped up with towels and blankets... but have no fear if I am growing an inch a week I'll fill her bed out in no time! ; )
~ For the most part I am still feeling great. I do feel more tired the past couple of weeks and sneak a nap in every once in awhile, and my lower back does ache more then usual... but with exercise (and massages) that ache goes away.
Downs:
~ Leg cramps!!! Oh my goodness! Now, I am use to leg cramps I got them pre-pregnancy but it wasn't every night! Far too often I am woken up in the middle of the night with leg cramps and it is getting harder and harder to reach my leg to rub out the cramp. Thankfully, the cramps aren't as bad as I am use to, but still they are annoying. I did learn today to put a bar of plain ivory soap in my bed and that will help it. (I think she said ivory... I can't remember the brand now... ugh!) I Hate (with a capital H) bananas... something with the texture and the flavor... but I bought them last week. I will only choke them down if they are pre-ripe and still kind of hard. But I was only able to eat a 1/2 one before they got too mushy. Cures for leg cramps without the word banana in it anyone?? I don't have bar soap in the house... but I'll be getting me some at the next shopping trip!
~ Blueberry has been kicked out of her room and she hasn't even gotten here yet. With all the bathroom remodeling going on we had to move our offices out of the way and the only spot left was Blueberry's room! Now Jesse doesn't want to leave - he likes the office upstairs in this room! We do have another bedroom downstairs but I just can't have a baby downstairs with me upstairs... so I told him if he got me one of those drive up bank dispenser things... where I can just stick the baby in and push a button and she goes back to her crib and when she cries I push another button and she comes back up into my room... he could have this as his office. I'm thinking she'll get her room back! ; )
There you have it... see you in another 3 weeks. I'm off to eat some ice cream and see if I have any favorites on American Idol. There are a couple of guys from Milwaukee that I'm really liking!

Bathroom - Phase 2

Before I get to the remodel update... I have to show off my Ebay find!! I found this entire vanity set (mirror, sink, faucet, vanity) on Ebay last night and it is brand new!!! This is my first real Ebay purchase ever!! Usually Jesse does the Ebay thing... but not last night!

Where our sink is going is a very tiny place so I had to find a small vanity... and to find one with sass and style that wasn't insanely over priced was a little hard to find. Jesse told me to look on Ebay and I found tons of vanities on there! This one was my favorite and it is some what similar to the one I saw in the store that I really liked but did not like the price tag on it, and that didn't include a mirror or faucet.

Here is what they got done yesterday. Tore the wall down, built the new wall, added the doorway wall, and built the landing (on the floor) where our tub and shower will go. We had to have this landing/platform because it is in the basement and all the plumbing is in concrete... but there is already an existing shower drain in the far left corner (the corner you can't see in the picture) so we are just going to do some plumbing work over to that drain and wa-la functional bathroom!! All the plumbing will be hidden under the platform.

It was a hard day of running the saw for little helper that he needed a nap! I guess it is much easier to sleep on the job when you are at your cousin's house!!

Oh and that is our guest, Flat Stanley, taking a nap with Josh. See Josh's little brother, Jake, has to do a school project where they have to send Flat Stanley to some one's house to visit. You have to take him around and show him the area. Jake thought it would be so cool to have Flat Stanley come to Stanley!!! : ) I'm afraid Flat hasn't seen much of Stanley yet... but he did get to help Josh build some walls and he got to use a Stanley Hammer in Stanley, WI!!

Next up... Friday they are going to put up the ceiling and put the drywall on the backsides of the walls. I believe on Saturday Jerry is coming over to run the plumbing and electrical for us. When the plumbing and electrical are done, Mike comes back to finish his platform, walls... the appliances come in... the tile guy comes... and my new fresh bathroom is done!! Whooohoo!

Then we can start on Blueberry's room!!! Oh the never ending projects that happen when you have a little one the way! : ) Oh and I have to start my garden soon too! My Mom just told me that I need to start my seeds on St. Patricks Day... but I forgot which seeds she told me start. Ah, me and my memory can get the best of me sometimes.
